TELL ME, WHAT SIZE IS YOUR FRYING PAN?
Have you heard the story about the 2 men who were fishing on either sides of the river? The man that got there first kept pulling in his net that was full of fish. The second guy on the opposite side of the river looked across the river to the man pulling in nets full of fish but a strange thing was happening.
This man kept the little fish that he caught, and continually threw the big fish back into the water. The second man was puzzled and yelled across the water, “Why on earth would you keep throwing the big fish back into the water?” The other man replied, “Because I only have a 10 inch frying pan!”
What’s the size of your frying pan? Small pans lose out on big things. Small mindedness causes us to lose out on the big things God has for us. If you need to, get a bigger one for all the fish you’re going to pull in! The first man could have made better decisions with the big fish, even if he had no money to buy a bigger pan he could have still seasoned that big baby up, sliced it, and popped it in the frying pan. It would have tasted the same way! But since we’re not really talking about frying pans but about mental capacity, you don’t have to spend any money to do that.
Small thinking keeps us small-minded and cannot accompany us on the larger stages of life. As a matter of fact, we won’t get anywhere near those large stages with small thinking! Let’s enlarge the place of our tents and stretch out the curtains where we live, we’re going to expand! (Isaiah 54:2), because God is leading us to houses filled with things we didn’t fill, vineyards and olive trees we didn’t plant and wells we didn’t dig! (Deuteronomy 6:11). Feast your eyes on my 2022 theme song in Joshua 24:13 ERV:
13 “‘I, the Lord, gave that land to you. You didn’t work for that land—I gave it to you. You did not build those cities—I gave them to you. And now you live in that land and in those cities. You have vineyards and olive trees, but you did not have to plant those gardens.’”
In this season we are reaping in places where we didn’t even work; other people have worked and toiled, but we walk in and clean up baby! Woosah! (I didn’t make that up, it’s in your Bible!) John 4:38 AMPC says:
38 I sent you to reap a crop for which you have not toiled. Other men have labored and you have stepped in to reap the results of their work.
So we’re working smart, not hard, and we’re reaping huge harvests that we didn’t even work for! Here’s a good declaration to speak over your finances, “My crypto is multiplying, I reap more and more crypto every time I turn around!”
Crypto currency isn’t something difficult to understand when you have God’s wisdom within you! Trading isn’t a big deal either. We must know what we’re doing for sure, but that’s why we read, watch videos, listen to podcasts talking about the way traditional money has changed, and where crypto is heading. That’s why we have Mentors, so that we can be in the know!
We all need to enlarge our frying pans by renewing our minds. How do we renew our minds? My number one way is by reading and meditating on the Word of God, but you can also increase your knowledge (and thereby renew your mind) by reading other books and listening to podcasts that pertain to the area you’d like to become an expert in! There’s one more day in this 1st quarter of 2022, if we spend time renewing our minds we can dominate in the 2nd quarter!
