WHAT IS THE #1 WAY FOR YOU TO GROW?
Someone asked a question on Twitter the other day: What in your opinion is the number one way to grow? There were so many answers, none of which I would have thought of. Some people were saying things like: keep a diary, join a gym, get a Therapist, learn a new language, wake up earlier, etc.
It took me a while to figure out what it was that really ever caused me to grow at any stage in my life, and I found it: I NEED TO GET UNCOMFORTABLE, BE IN AN UNFAMILIAR AND UNCOMFORTABLE SPACE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. That’s it for me! Without fail, every time I’m in an uncomfortable position I end up growing in many different areas.
I started growing in the cryptocurrency area not just because I had experienced mentors teaching me, but mostly because it was something new to me and it required me to stretch. At first I didn’t really understand what it was, how someone could create a blockchain and coin online and release it to the world as crypto currency. This same coin started off costing less than a penny for one coin, but then the price moved from less than a penny to $66K in a little over a decade. Then of course no one has ever seen a Bitcoin, and those that I know who have one or more BTC have never ever touched it because there are no physical bitcoins, only balances kept on a public ledger. To top it off, no one really knows the true identity of the creator/s! Doesn’t this sound like something out of a cartoon?😩😳😀 But here we are, growing!😂🤣
Anyone buying, selling or exchanging crypto is in an unfamiliar and uncomfortable place whether we realize it or not, and that discomfort should bring growth.
We’ll end up growing as we’re stretched mentally, learning about something that’s so new in a new market.
We’ll grow financially as we invest. We’ll grow spiritually as we learn to trust God more and more if the prices of the coins begin to dance in the downward direction.
We’ll grow socially as we end up in spaces and places with people who know more than we do because it’ll take us getting out of our comfort zones to connect and learn from other people that we’re unfamiliar with. At the same time however, our social circles will grow!
You are growing right now, I can guarantee it! The Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 14:20 talking about Prayer, says:
20 Dear brothers and sisters, don’t be childish in your understanding of these things. Be innocent as babies when it comes to evil, but be mature in understanding matters of this kind.
Let’s all push past the discomfort of the present circumstances, and be determined to become mature in understanding as we learn new things about cryptocurrency. Once we know more we’ll be able to make a much better decision about whether it’s for us or not. (Hint: It’s for me, of that I am sure!)😀 Either way, we owe it to ourselves to know more!
