NFTs PART 3

Today we’re back at it, NFTs again baby!

Even though NFTs have been around since 2014, things are heating up now because it has become super popular to purchase things in their digital form - art, music, games, videos, etc. When large corporations get in the game, you know something’s up!

For the 2021 Macy’s Thanksgiving parade, Macy’s created some limited-edition balloon NFTs for auction that benefited the Make a Wish Foundation. Other companies have jumped on board the NFT wave as well with even the Coachella Music Festival launching NFTs, Martha Stewart launching a new NFT collection, Paris Hilton launching her first NFT doll, and Forever 21 joined in too with an NFT game. 🤷🏾‍♀️🤑

Under Armour the developer of athletic performance apparel, is celebrating their brand ambassador Steph Curry (professional basketball player) with a collection of NFTs that are available on the Metaverse. That NFT is in the form of the same pair of sneakers that Curry wore when he made league history. Who would buy digital sneakers when they cannot be worn?🥺🤯😳 Well, probably the same people who buy digital property on the Metaverse, and then resell it for a profit.

If you’re thinking in terms of what you can and cannot do with NFTs or digital items sold in the Metaverse, e.g., you can’t wear it, can’t touch it, can’t live in a digital apartment, can’t hang up a digital painting, etc., your focus is on the wrong thing. Focus on the resale of the asset, and the quick money to be made from it. That’s all. Forget about what you can’t do with it, that’s not the object of the purchase. Switch the mindset. So let’s ask the question again: Who would buy digital sneakers or digital apartments in the Metaverse? Answer: People who understand the appreciating value of digital assets. That’s us! 🤸🏾‍♀️🤸🏾‍♀️

I am not telling you to run out and purchase NFTs, but I am asking you to please allow yourself the time and give yourself the education to make the necessary digital shift in your mind. Within the next 7-10 years, I am predicting that everyone will own something digital - because that’s where this is heading.

By the way, remember those Steph Curry digital sneakers that no one could wear? Well, all 3,000 of them immediately sold for $333 each. There are only 5 more on sale right now (those are re-sales) on the Open Sea platform being sold for over 3 times the price. It really is something to consider. Please don’t miss out on this transfer of wealth because you didn’t anticipate that it would come in digital form. I’m taking it however it comes! What about you?

More tomorrow!😊
