PIZZA, PIZZA, PIZZA!
Bitcoin, Bitcoin, Bitcoin, let’s chat about it! This coin started off in 2009 with a price of ZERO but moved to 0.09 cents one year later. By October 2010 it was worth 10 cents but even then, not a whole lot of people wanted BTC, most thought it was a joke! But for those who recognized that we were in the middle of a huge digital shift financially, they’re sitting pretty good right now!
Back in May of 2010 a Florida man paid 10,000 BTC for 2 Papa Johns pizzas. 😳He was on a BTC Talk Forum and he asked around to see who could have 2 large pizzas delivered to his house in exchange for the Bitcoin that he had. 👀He exchanged his 10,000 Bitcoin for 2 Papa John pizzas!😩 The man who bought the pizzas for him got a bargain lol, because he only paid $25 for the 2 large pizzas and 10,000 BTC at the time was worth $41. If the Florida man had held on to his 10,000 BTC for just 9 months longer, he would have had $10K US dollars because the price of BTC moved to $1.00. Even today, with the price being $42K per Bitcoin, he would have had …. you guessed it … $420,000,000. Four hundred and twenty million dollars! Instead, since he didn’t recognize the value and/or he was really, really hungry, he exchanged it for pizza.🤷🏾♀️ Please don’t do that with your crypto!
This thing isn’t going anywhere, it’s here to stay! Yes, it’s volatile, and yes the price changes right before your eyes, but so does the weather! And once you learn when to hold BTC and when to exchange it for other cryptocurrencies and then change it back to BTC when the price is favorable, you’re going to be OK! But please don’t freak out. Hold on!
Think about your relationship with Jesus - it gets real rough at times. Things go crazy and we could become disillusioned with the state of our lives. Maybe there’s job loss, divorce, death, sickness and other things that seem to take us by surprise. But God is still there and we keep holding on! Jesus isn’t going anywhere, He’s here to stay. He told us in Matthew 28:20:
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
He’s with us until the end of time!🙌🏾
Will Bitcoin be around at the end of time? I don’t have a scripture reference for that and I don’t even care. What I do care about is that we educate ourselves about crypto currencies and recognize (and appreciate) the shift towards the Metaverse/virtual connections as well as digital things. As I studied the history of banking I saw that the banking system started as a way to make loans to the public. Coins needed to be kept in a safe place, and according to World History Encyclopedia, “Wealthy people in ancient Rome kept their coins and jewels in the basements of temples. The presence of priests or temple workers, who were assumed devout and honest, and armed guards added a sense of security.”
How interesting is this? Money was kept in Church basements? In the presence of Priests? But right now the majority of the Church are in need of a huge, swift change in finances? We’ve got to change this picture. I do believe that crypto currency is a part of the wealth transfer so we’re going to stick with it and allow God to prosper us as we do!
